- Pay: $70,000 - $75,000
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, Night shifts, Holidays, and Weekends
Job Overview:
The Dual Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for prospecting for new clients, making cold calls, writing and negotiating contracts, and conducting site tours.
- Must be willing to have involvement in local tourism associations.
- Dedicate significant portion of time to direct sales consisting of outside sales calls, property tours and responding to all RFP’s.
- Consistently work on the development of new business opportunities.
- Assist hotel in meeting or exceeding assigned revenue goals, primarily, but not limited to: Rooms, Meeting Room, Incremental and RevPAR Index.
- Actively participate in budgeting, forecasting and managing expenses to achieve company expectations.
- Performs Sales Audits to ensure information accuracy in property management systems, sales software systems, and general reporting.
- Train sales manager to solicit existing and new clients, foster additional business, and attain repeat bookings.
- Participates in yield management meetings, as necessary.
- Participate in weekly sales meetings and participate in all hotel related meetings as directed by General Manager.
- Develop special sales activities and promotions and monitor return on investment.
- Ensures that property has maximized use of all company, brand and local CVB programs.
- Conduct market analysis to determine client needs, occupancy potential, rates, etc. for hotel.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of hotel sales experience. This person will be responsible for selling to all markets. They must be able to prospect for new clients, make cold calls, write and negotiate contracts and conduct site tours. Marriott experience is preferred but not required.
